Big Axle "Powerglide II" hydraulic tappets for performance and stock cams. The title tells you the whole story. Power is what you are after when you have installed a high performance hydraulic cam in your Twin Cam, Milwaukee Eight or Sportster. To get full power, you must have zero valve lash, and eliminate collapsing of the hydraulic tappet as found in stock hydraulic units (this is referred to as the shock absorber syndrome). Failing to open the full amount, as the cam is designed to do, results in power loss. Jims Powerglide II eliminates the shock absorber action, and is as close to a solid tappet possible and is still able to compensate for heat expansion. Glide is what you get when hand matching hydraulic components to a running fit of .0002". For this reason "Powerglide II" tappets have a micro-finished bore for the hydraulic unit to glide over. The total dynamic load capacities have been increased over 30% straight across the board. Lubrication capacities for the hydraulic unit and valve train (top end) have increased 10%. And last but not least the lubrication capacities for the roller, cams, and cam bearings have increased 100% for increased cooling. Fits 1999-2017 Twin Cam, 2017 to present Milwaukee Eight, as well as 2000 to present Sportster and air colled Buell. Sold each in standard or +.010" oversize.
Note: .010" Oversize tappets must be installed using fmc-751086 tappet reamer.
